The firm represents major Taft-Hartley ERISA pension and welfare plans. Our legal work includes ongoing advice concerning benefits, fiduciary duties, prudent person rules, withdrawal liability and litigation on behalf of the Funds or to enforce the rights of the Funds. We also prepare plans and, of course, continually advise our clients of all legal developments which may warrant or require amendments to plans.Another aspect of pension and welfare fund representation is insuring that the Funds receive all employer contributions needed to insure that benefits will be paid. To protect the fisical integrity of funds we represent, the firm has an extensive and extremely effective practice for collection of unpaid health and welfare benefit contributions. We have often handled cases locally for unions and funds from out of state.
