Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Murugan was a medical malpractice defense litigator. Representing a variety of medical professionals and healthcare facilities, Ms. Murugan defended clients against malpractice claims of injury, disability, and wrongful death. She previously clerked for the Honorable Francis Hodgson, Jr. in the Superior Court of New Jersey. There, she wrote memoranda and opinions focused on Chancery and foreclosure matters including breach of contract claims, partnership disputes, and mortgage defaults. She further conducted mediation sessions for residential foreclosures, small claims, and landlord and tenant matters.

Ms. Murugan is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Law, where she was the Editor of Publication for the Journal of Business and Securities Law and simultaneously completed her Master of Business Administration degree in Finance. She received her undergraduate business degree in Health Care Management from the University of Connecticut. She is a member of the New Jersey and New York bars.
