The firm has an extensive and highly regarded appellate practice, in all levels of Federal and State Courts. Our attorneys have handled numerous precedent-setting cases, including opinions establishing for the first time that public employees have constitutionally protected rights to their public pensions, and creating the constitutional duty of the State to adequately fund the public pensions systems. We have handled appellate litigation establishing the rights of creditors to directly sue other creditors in bankruptcy matters. The firm handled the seminal U.S. Supreme Court case establishing the relationship between the bankruptcy and labor laws regarding executory contracts, which resulted in the enactment of bankruptcy laws by the Congress on these very same issues.
